50 Shades of Blue

I reached 1 thousand followers on my Facebook business page!!! Woo hoo. Probably not that exciting, but it took a while to get there. About a month prior to, I created an incentive to get some traffic through my page. Of course marketing my business has never been my strong suit but this is something I've done before and received a lot of great feedback from.

A giveaway which I decided to call the Make Me a Model Giveaway. I chose this name because I wanted to promote to the everyday person. With the help of a hair professional and a professional stylist we were looking to do a head to toe make over. So we chose a concept, created a vision board and got to work.

After working on another set a few months back where the backdrop was made of upholstering fabric, I decided that would be the route I wanted to go for this concept. I had purchased a few fabrics previously that I was absolutely obsessed with. One of which was a tan canvas with splashes of various shades of blue throughout. Even though I was eager to use it, I wanted to give the fabric store another run. Of course I cant go into any craft store without spending money so I grabbed a few others. But my heart was set on blue.

Mecca, is the owner and stylist at Inspo Mini Style. I've worked with her quite a bit in the past and I absolutely love her work and her authenticity. After a few days of gathering items, she messaged the team that she had this 50 shades of Blue concept with her wardrobe options. We were going for a vintage style and man oh man did she deliver. I mean I never expected anything other than greatness. But when she laid out the pieces she chose at the studio, I felt like she was in my head the entire time. I love when that happens.

Keeya, Natural Hair Stylist and Braider at Head Shot Studio's formerly Fly Girls Hair Lounge executed this halo braid style to perfection. Not only did she kill this style she slayed 3 completely different looks on the spot.

I am so appreciative to work along side these amazingly talented women.

I tried my hand at a bit of makeup for this session. I attempted an age appropriate edgy look. Deciding on pink was simple. With the session being 50 shades of blue and there being a lot of it. I pulled the pink from her necklace and her boot laces to tie it all in. But i'm no MUA. lol

Our winner Katrese wanted her daughter to be the recipient of the styled photo session.

Little Miss Khloe.

Khloe is a spunky 7 year old diva, aspiring model and pageant girl. We were delighted that she would be our newest mini model. I had the opportunity to work with Khloe on a past session so I knew she would be perfect!

Turns out, Khloe was more than perfect. We spent the morning laughing and dolling her up. Pampering Khloe as if she was a true queen like her IG name describes. We danced, we ate snacks and she named every artist and song on the radio. She told us to get ready for her birthday photo shoot on her way out.

Don't worry Khloe, we'll be ready for you!
